"Interactive Curricula and Intensive Teacher Training to Linguistically Empower Children in Assiut and Minya"
[Cairo, Egypt] – As part of its efforts to support educational transformation and empower young generations, ICTC for Training and Consulting implemented the “Read” project in partnership with the American University in Cairo and the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, to enhance the mastery of the Arabic language and grammar rules among children in community schools in Assiut and Minya governorates. About the project: The “Read” project comes as a response to the challenges facing Arabic language education in the most needy areas, as it focuses on: Designing interactive curricula that simplify grammar rules and make learning Arabic attractive through interactive activities and visual tools. Intensive training for community school teachers on modern educational methodologies that focus on creativity and practical application. Periodic assessment of children’s progress using approved standardized evidence. Strategic partners: This initiative reflects the strength of the collaboration between: ICTC: Expertise in developing educational curricula and building the capacity of teaching staff. The American University in Cairo: Academic and research support to ensure the quality of content. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation: Financial and strategic support to ensure the sustainability of the impact. Key achievements: Training +120 teachers on innovative educational tools in its first phase. Designing 3 educational units covering the basics of Arabic grammar in a simplified manner. Improving the skills of +75% of children in reading and writing within 6 months.
