Successful Closing Ceremony of the Joint Projects between UNFPA and UN Women with KOICA Support

We are proud to celebrate the success of the closing ceremony of the joint projects between the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and UN Women, supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The event took place on December 11, 2024, at the Fairmont Nile City Hotel in Cairo.

Event Highlights:

  • Inspiring success stories were shared by trainees from Alexandria, Beni Suef, and Sohag who participated in various capacity-building programs.
  • A special exhibition showcased diverse handmade products created by women participants, including:
    • Leather crafts
    • Crochet work
    • Baked goods and sweets
    • Accessories
    • Ready-to-wear clothing
    • Upcycled items
    • Home textiles

Distinguished Guests:

The event was attended by prominent figures, including the Korean Ambassador, senior representatives from various Egyptian ministries, and development partners who contributed to the success of this initiative.
